Fans have become accustomed to seeing the "Green Men" at Vancouver Canucks home games silently taunting the opposing players in the penalty box. Unfortunately, the Green Men were not in attendance for Wednesday's Game 2 of the NHL Western Conference Finals against the San Jose Sharks, saying on their Twitter account that "Tix are a little too pricey and [the trip to] Nashville put us in debt."
However, a female fan took it upon herself to upstage the Green Men by flashing Sharks left winger Ben Eager. The fan was wearing a Henrik Sedin Canucks jersey and pressed her chest against the glass for a couple of seconds, which was caught on Canadian television network CBC (but not on the Versus network). (No, we will not show the video here - there are enough other sites on the Internet where the video can be found). After the incident, she was immediately escorted out of the building by security.
The Green Men responded to this turn of events on their Twitter account: "I know we couldn't be there but I hope we sent a suitable replacement (or is it replacements?"

We located her, reached out to her over Facebook to let her know she's a hero to our readership. She declined the interview request. She further requested that we blur her face out in the photo. Before we could write back to explain that Getty Images is an international wire service that we have no control over, and that there's actually a second photo of her face and her exposed breast on Getty, she deleted her Facebook account.The fan doesn't seem to realize that like it or not, she is a "public figure" now. The pictures and the video will be out there on the Internet forever. Anytime she applies for a new job from now on, she is going to have to explain this (although she has a leg up if she wants to get into reality television). Another lesson for the kids out there: think about the repercussions before you do something - especially if it may get caught by television cameras.
